The last treatment of chemo really affected my digestive tract and I think I finally got my system working the way it should. My next treatment is the last of A/C, then I move onto the 12 weeks of Taxol. I am excited to be done with the A/C and ready to move forward.
This week I was in contact with more people than I have been recently. That really felt good. A week ago Saturday, I spent the day with Mark’s mom and sister Karen making pierogies for our Christmas Eve dinner. We always make a huge batch and freeze them until the holiday, it’s part of our Polish tradition.
Saturday was one of the best days that I have had in a very long time. We were able to meet up with my sisters and our great nieces Nadine and Zoey at Petrifying Springs. For the past two years I have been babysitting for Nadine and Zoey on Tuesdays. Since starting chemo I haven’t been able to do that. It has been a month and a half since I spent any time with them. We had a great time playing frisbee and hiking through the woods, laughing and trying on wigs. I feel so sad when I don’t get to be with them. They change so fast and I hate to miss out on anything they do.
